Health and social care organisations can now access the company’s services via the largest purchasing consortium in the UK for the public sector.

The company has secured a place on two lots of the Technology and Communication framework. Lot six, Technology Operational Services, supports organisations to evaluate their current technology environment and assist with developing and or designing of an improved IT infrastructure, along with full implementation and associated services where required.

Lot seven, Service Design and Implementation, supports organisations to manage the provision of their technology requirement and includes end user support, device management, system management and asset management amongst others.

Michael Beckett, managing director, Cloud21 said, "Digital can make such a difference to maintaining and improving the health of our population and the delivery of care when needed. NHS England has created the plan for achieving joined up systems and defined clear requirements of digital transformation programmes to achieve this. The YPO framework provides a vital route for the provision of our services to health and care organisations."

Cloud21 supports health and care organisations through all stages of digital transformation from co-developing strategy, managing procurement to implementation.

Beckett continues, "We see the role that technology can play in creating joined up health and care systems but we rarely see it being engineered to achieve this. Our care systems are responding to two priorities, one that addresses local digital programme needs and one that aims to transform the whole system. Often, we see these digital transformation programmes running in parallel but delivered in isolation.

"At all stages of digital transformation programmes we aim to engineer an interoperable environment for our clients so we take a step closer to realising the vision of joined up heath and care systems."

YPO was established by local government authorities to help combine their procurement demands and achieve efficiency savings. The Technology and Communication framework serves to ensure the public sector has access to the most up to date and innovative equipment and systems providing the best value but also helping to deliver it.

Beckett concludes, "With the introduction of STPs and ICSs across the country and the formation of consortia, health, social care and local government are increasingly coming together to create centralised services for citizens. This is a new way of working for many and involves complex programmes of work to deliver. The YPO framework is in a unique position to enable local governments and suppliers in supporting the Health and Social Care Secretary, Matt Hancock’s priorities to improve health and care across the whole health and social care system."
